AGM 2009

Greetings dive-buddies!

another AGM over and lots to report.

We have a brand shiny new committee with the official hand over happening tomorrow...

say hello to your new committee:

  • Kamil Koscielniak
  • secretary: Bernie Mulroney
  • treasurer: Christian Wolf

We also have two new equipment officers: Thomas Harper and Jennifer Creichton.

We voted to keep on our award winning BDO since he has been doing such a good job - thanks Steve!

Thanks also to the out-going committee and to everyone who has organised and taken part in trips and events in the club over the last year.

I think everyone would agree it's been a good year for the diving club with lots of trips and new members. Well done to Thom for becoming our most recent newly qualified sports diver. We are also so happy we already have a pool for next year so there will be no delays in jumping straight in for our future trainees.

The best of luck to the new committee and I'm sure I'll see you all for some long summer evening dives.

Fiona

Diving Weekend 7 - 8 March in Oban

We are organising our first diving weekend of the year.

This will be in Oban, we will be leaving on Friday evening and coming back on sunday evening. We will be staying in their waterfront chalet for 2 nights ( That's the minimum required ) . Accomodation will cost from £28 to £36 depending on numbers for 2 nights.

You need to have joined our club and Scotsac ( If you are Padi, please check with me ).

Let me know ASAP if you would like to come ( by Thursday) . Spaces for trainees are limited and are on a first booked first saved basis.

I will need to know :
- if you need any equipment.
- if you have a car. I'm not sure yet if we are using a minibus or personal car.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Marie

Welcome to Napier University Sub Aqua Club...

...Napier University's longest running club

We are a branch of the Scottish Sub Aqua Club open to the staff and students of Napier University. The club is run by a committee elected each year at the Club AGM and aims to promote sports diving, diving safety and to raise the profile of Napier University.

We run training sessions for new members starting in October so it is not necessary to have previous experience to come and dive with us. See the training section for more details. Most weekends we have members diving, in a wide variety of locations.

We have several sets of equipment available for members use so it is not necessary to purchase all your own equipment although there are some items you may wish to purchase your self.

Club members range from those undergoing training though to tri-mix divers. For more information email us or come and meet us at the Union (NSA) Bar on a Thursday evening. We usually meet there after the pool sessions (from October to December) just after 10.20pm and slightly earlier (8.30pm) during the rest of the undergraduate academic year.
